Abstract


Introduction. Based on the analysis introduction with 6 children, children who have a democratic parenting was 3, authoritarian was 2, and permissive was 1. This study aimed to determine the correlation of parenting parents with emotional intelligence development of preschool children in the Kindergarten Panti Puruhita Krapyak Semarang. Methods. This study was a quantitative study with cross sectional approach. The populations in this study were 90 students in the Kindergarten Panti Puruhita. The sample acquired with a purposive sampling technique. Total sample of this study were 72 respondents. Instruments used questionnairs and observation sheets. The data were analyzed by Fisher Exact test. Result. From the analysis acquired p value of 0,001≤0.05. There was a correlation patterns of parenting with emotional development preschool children in the Kindergarten Panti Puruhita Krapyak Semarang. Discussion. Parents were expected to apply democratic parenting thus improving emotional intelligence development of preschool children.
